  2. Myrrh Symbolized the Sacrifice of Jesus- Jesus the Lamb

  3. Frankincense Symbolized the Priestly Nature of Jesus- Jesus the High Priest

Numbers 18:7

And you and your sons with you shall guard your priesthood for all that concerns the altar and that is within the veil; and you shall serve. I give your priesthood as a gift,[a] and any outsider who comes near shall be put to death.”

Sins were Forgiven and Removed – Temporarily

Hebrews 10:10-12

And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

11 And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when Christ[a] had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God,

Sins are Forgiven and Removed – Permanently!

Hebrews 4:14-15

Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Hebrews 4:16

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
